Dependable and robust, KP-9 Pistol from Kalashnikov USA™ is a civilian legal semi-automatic authentic version of the Russian Vityaz submachine gun, 100% US-made. The KP-9 is an easy-to-operate AK-style pistol that works on a blowback operating system. It is chambered in 9X19MM with a barrel length of 9.25″ and accepts 30 and 10 round Kalashnikov USA™ magazines. It has a hinged top cover with Picatinny rail and specially designed feed ramps to accommodate jacketed hollow point bullets.
With its hinge block and quick detach mount at the rear of the receiver, the KP-9 comes ready for conversion into a short-barreled rifle (SBR) under the provisions of the National Firearms Act (NFA) of 1934.*
The KP-9 pistol features a closed bolt blowback design that incorporates an out-of-battery safety mechanism so the gun cannot fire unless the bolt is fully closed.
The KP-9 also features feed ramps that are specially designed to reliably chamber jacketed hollow point bullets.
This semi-auto pistol accepts 30-round and 10-round Kalashnikov USA™ magazines. The steel-lined polymer magazines feature a double-column, double-feed design inspired by the battle-proven magazines used in the PPS-43 submachine gun.
The KP-9’s hinged top cover has an attached Picatinny rail. The muzzle features 1/2 inch x 28 suppressor-ready muzzle threads (and a shoulder) making it compatible with most US muzzle devices and suppressors. It comes from the factory with a flash suppressor installed.
The KP-9 accepts Kalashnikov USA 30 round magazines, has a hinged top cover and Picatinny rail along with ½”-28 threaded flash suppressor. The Kalashnikov USA KP-9 is a blast to shoot, ready to go right out of the case. It also offers a solid base to customize the 9mm to your own specs. For those who want an AK style pistol to attach a brace or build an SBR, the KP-9 is ready tough and dependable with a classic, easy to operate design.

The KP-9 is a US manufactured 9mm semi-automatic AK style pistol. It is based on the Russian Vityaz-SN submachine gun, has a 9.25” barrel and accepts 30 round double stack Kalashnikov USA magazines (10 round magazines are available). KP-9 has a hinge block with a quick detach swivel mount and is SBR ready.
This makes it a must have for the individual that would like to be able to shoot while waiting for their SBR paperwork to be approved by the BATFE, or for someone that just really doesn’t desire the extra length the stock and barrel of the KR-9 add to the platform. KP-9 comes with a hinged top cover with attached Picatinny rail and a ½”-28 threaded flash suppressor.

The KP-9 comes with a proprietary double column, double-feed steel-lined polymer magazine. It also has 1/2 inch x 28 suppressor-ready muzzle threads for a muzzle device or suppressor of your choice. However, it also comes with a factory-installed flash suppressor. Many of the KP-9 pistol parts are interchangeable with the AK parts.
Glock Center Texas follows all state regulations regarding the sale of high capacity magazines. Due to multiple states and cities now enforcing various magazine restrictions and more coming we will not ship magazines that are restricted in your area with firearms to the states listed below.
If the mag that comes with the firearm is not legal in your state or city the magazine will be removed from the shipment. We do not offer custom magazine requests to swap out, ship to another state, refund, pinning of mag, substitutions, dealer approval or other. Hopefully we will see changes to these laws and violations to our second amendment rights.
We apologize for this but we simply cannot accommodate each and every magazine request with over 30 different laws, regulations and restrictions impacting states, cities and local jurisdictions throughout the country. How a compact design is achieve on the KP-9?
Kalashnikov AKs work on the gas operating system, but KP-9 works on the blowback operating system despite having the same design as the Russian AK. We removed the gas components of the AK and replaced them with a bolt carrier that carries extra weight in place of the AK’s standard gas piston. The added mass forward of the bolt is reminiscent of the telescoping design used in the Uzi and helps keep the pistol compact.

You can enjoy shooting your KP-9 in pistol configuration while awaiting approval from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to convert it into a short-barreled rifle (SBR). The KP-9 can also be fitted with a pistol brace but such stabilizing devices are currently under regulatory review by ATF.
Before installing any buttstock, stabilizing device, vertical foregrip or other control accessory, please consult with a competent authority in your jurisdiction to ensure compliance with all current firearms laws and regulations. Mere possession of these parts– before proper regulatory approval— can be a violation of law.

Many AK parts are interchangeable with the KR-9 pistol. Reliability remains excellent and the low recoiling and widely available 9mm pistol cartridge makes for a fun (and inexpensive) pistol to shoot.
