The Cheek piece swivels and locks on both sides to accommodate both left and right handed shooters.
The Vepr12 barrel is externally threaded (We include a thread cap protector) that allows the user to install chokes, compensators, brakes, and other muzzle devices. The Vepr 12 sight setup is similar to an AK style system but the rear leaf has accommodations that allows windage adjustments.

This semi-auto shotgun is imported in its original configuration directly from the Molot factory in Russia. The Vepr 12 is a semi-automatic shotgun for self-defense, hunting, and 3-gun competitions. Based on the RPK standard, the Vepr 12 shares the same legendary characteristics of extreme reliability in harsh conditions as the RPK. The furniture installed includes a steel tubular fixed stock with rubber butt pad and high strength polymer fore end / gas tube cover.
The permanently attached muzzle brake extends the barrel and enhances the shooting experience through an extreme reduction in muzzle rise and felt recoil.

This semi-auto short-barrel shotgun with folding stock is imported from the Molot factory in Russia. Vepr 12 shotguns are semi-automatic designed for self-defense, hunting, and 3-gun competitions. Based on the RPK standard, the Vepr 12 shares the same legendary characteristics of extreme reliability in harsh conditions as the RPK.
The fire control group allows for semi-automatic shooting and the safety is the standard AK safety selector, which has levers on the right side of the receiver to operate the safety. Additional features include:
- The ability to insert magazines straight into the magazine well (AR style) without the need to cant the magazine (AK style)
- RPK-style windage adjustable rear sights
- Windage and elevation adjustable front sights integrated to the gas block
- Picatinny rail incorporated into the hinged dust cover (allows optics mounting)
- Chrome-lined chamber, barrel, gas block, and bolt carrier operation rod for increased corrosion and wear resistance
Featuring a factory short barrel, Left-side folding tubular buttstock with cheek rest and sling loop, competition magazine well, factory 5-round magazine, RPK style windage adjustable rear sight, hinged dust cover with a Picatinny rail, original AK enhanced safety lever (single finger operation), factory chrome lined barrel, chamber, receiver shaft, and gas chamber, factory last round bolt hold open, factory threaded barrel, factory machined bolt assembly, and gas blocks. The VEPR 12-04 ships with one 5- and one 8-round magazine. It also has a picatinny rail machined into the bottom of the gas block to mount a light or laser. This feature is not included in the VPR-12-05 model along with the 8-round magazine. The VPR-12-04 is 922r compliant even with high-capacity Molot factory magazines.

Why is Russia’s Vepr-12 one of the world’s best shotguns?
The smoothbore semi-automatic Vepr-12 carbine was created in the early noughties and is based on the RPK-74, a stalwart in the Russian Army. The Vepr-12 has a gas system and rotation bolt, and unlike its predecessor can fire a wide range of 12-gauge cartridges with a 70 or 76 mm casing.

Counterterrorist units around the world favor the Vepr-12 when operating in urban areas. The shotgun is very effective at close quarters and its limited range of 50 meters reduces the chance of collateral damage.
One slug from the shotgun is equivalent to an entire magazine (nine bullets) from a Makarov pistol hitting the target at once. The Vepr-12 can also be loaded with non-lethal ammunition for situations like crowd control, and it’s able to hold up to 25 rounds at a time. The civilian version comes with a four or eight-round cartridge.
In Russia, the Vepr-12 is widely available but can only be purchased with a firearms license. It’s also on sale in Latin America and some NATO countries. The E.K.A.M. special anti–terrorist unit of Greece’s Interior Ministry is armed with Vepr-12 shotguns.
